Pathetic Persuit of the Human Race

I wonder what people are after in this world...

Our success depends solely on how much we earn...and the struggle for it starts from the time we start our education in Jr.KG.

Everone has a craving for money which will perhaps never die...As this is some kind of man made commodity without which survival would become difficult for the common man.

Everything we are now is because of that one commodity, and a drop on that, is enough to cause chaos and bedlam in the whole world, which we proudly call "our world"...

I was just passing by on the bridge today and started thinking about the color "green" . The color which was once upon a time found in abundance on this planet. The color which sustained life in its diverse forms from the very begenning,, even in the time of the single celled organisms....

It was surprising to note that the color which was prevelent over the ages for millions of years, which sustained itself undettered thorughout the ages is now slowly failing.Broad , ugly grey structures towering over the entire city, stretching from one end the horizon to another.

There were very small dots of green which looked trapped in the world of towers,multi-storeyes and concrete and stone.It nolonger was their land...they were being invaded and destroyed...

The next thing i saw was a mother covering her child's tender nostrils with her saree...for she didn't want the grey fumes to harm her child.... The city roads are filled with these fumes which rise upward to entwine every thing in their passing....It looks like this everyday, and people just ignore everything and have just one aim which is pulling at their brains all the time which is money, and the means to earn more.

The humans think of themselves as the most intelligent race, they made so much and created so much, and "developed" so much.... I'm now having to question the very word "Development"...After all, what is development? We will build more buildings, more concrete, more roads and bridges and towers. More fumes would engulf us, we would fell more trees and destroy and invade every darn region which never belonged to us, and use it for our moment's luxuries...Soon we would even not spare the water bodies, not that they are not turnign foul already...

But, even after all this and knowing that in this condition survival of any living specie would be doomed, we still continue to dig our own graves...

I really wonder what is our basic purpose for what we do... Why do we do what we are doing??? We struggle all our lives to earn happiness...which we again depend from nature... Our ideal resorts and get-aways, would always be filled with small streams,animals and tress, but why yet do we destory these for our own purposes...

The planet has so much to offer, diversity is every form lives and survives here... But Diversity is something we are about to eliminate... Millions of species are becoming extinct, their race dying... But the human race never cease's to survive... and for its survial it needs every resource available, that too in abundance...

Within a short span of 2 years, there is such a drastic change in the weather conditions here... the summers are no longer hot but "burning" and the winters would soon be a part of history...

Why are we sent to school and educted? Taught about plants, nature and its varied forms, was it to include it in our history books soon???

It's sad to see the life from which we were spawned to be destroyed by ourselves... No specie in nature is as callous , selfish and so very obtuse as man...He who claims to be the most intelligent specie dominating the planet.
